Two border police officers detained after taking bribe from Albanian citizens

Two Bulgarian border police officers have been detained after taking a EUR 150 bribe from two Albanian citizens at Gyueshevo border check point on the border with North Macedonia, BNR’s correspondent Kiril Falin reports. The two Albanians have also been detained. The incident took place on the night of Saturday, 23 March, when the Albanian citizens demanded that an individual with the initials S. L. be allowed to leave Bulgaria without being sanctioned for overstaying his visa in the country. The bribe offered was accepted by the high-ranking officials.
