The honorary leader of DPS, Ahmed Dogan, visited the headquarters of the party in Sofia to hold consultations for the lists of candidates for MPs for the upcoming parliamentary elections, the party's press center announced. "Ahmed Dogan is back at his home, the DPS headquarters, warmly welcomed by our youth," the message reads. Yesterday, founders, and former district chairmen of the party published a declaration in support of "leader Ahmed Dogan and the authentic DPS".

After the split in the Movement for Rights and Freedoms in the past month, the wing supporting Ahmed Dogan will participate in the parliamentary elections on October 27 with the coalition "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms", while the group around Delyan Peevski will use the name "Movement for Rights and Freedoms - New Beginning".
