Some of the largest Bulgarian companies with over 1,000 employees have received invitations for meetings at the country’s police directorates. The summoned owners and CEOs have signed declarations that they will not promote voter coercion by employers in the parliamentary elections, 24chasa.bg reported. The dialogue at the police station was calm and respectful, confirmed three of the companies that responded to the invitations.
They say that this is the first time they have been the subject of such interest. The Ministry of Interior clarified that the managers of companies in mixed regions were invited due to an alert from the Facebook page BG Elves. A list of 200 names and nicknames of potential vote buyers was published there at the end of September.
