Around BGN 300 million (€ 153.3 million) is the projected financial impact of our full membership in the Schengen area, said acting Tourism Minister Evtim Miloshev. According to an initial analysis, the direct benefits for the sector in the coming years are expected to average this amount.
Evtim Miloshev stressed that even the most beautiful place in the world loses its appeal if it isn't safe and travellers don't feel protected.
