Deputy Premier Atanas Zafirov to lead a pilgrimage delegation to Mount Athos

A Bulgarian pilgrimage delegation will visit Mount Athos for the feast of the Zograf Monastery St. George the Great Martyr.

During their visit to Mount Athos on May 5 and 6, the members of the Bulgarian delegation will meet with the spiritual leaders of Mount Athos, attend the evening and night prayer services, a holy liturgy, and will join the procession with the icon of St. George the Great Martyr.

The traditional pilgrimage delegation to Mount Athos will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov. It will include representatives of the executive, legislative and local authorities, as well as the civil sector and businesses.
