Military units across Bulgaria open doors for Children’s Day

To celebrate International Children’s Day on 1 June, military units from the Land Forces, Air Force, Navy, Joint Forces Command and Special Operations Command will be hosting open days. These events are scheduled for 29 and 30 May 2025, taking place at various military sites across the country.

Visitors will be able to view modern equipment and weaponry currently in service with the Bulgarian Armed Forces as part of the festivities.

On 29 May, the Second Mechanised Brigade of the Land Forces in Stara Zagora (23 Augusta Trayana Street) will welcome visitors from 10:00 to 14:00, while Military Unit 32420 in Ruse will open its gates at 13:00.

On 30 May, open days will be held at the 110th Alpine Regiment in Smolyan, Military Unit 44220 in Plovdiv, the 55th Engineer Regiment in Belene and the 38th Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection and Ecology Battalion in Musachevo.

Also on 30 May, two Air Force bases will open to aviation enthusiasts: Vrazhdebna Air Base in Sofia (10:00–14:00) and Bezmer Air Base near Yambol (09:30–14:00).

Children will also have the opportunity to visit other military units across the country.
