During the adoption of the euro, the Communications Regulation Commission, the Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) and the Commission for Consumer Protection (CCP) signed an agreement on a common mechanism for controlling mobile service prices.

This agreement enables the three regulators to complement each other's specific powers, allowing for more effective control of the telecoms sector. One of the first steps will be the publication of mobile operators' prices on a platform that will collect and publish prices for goods and services, announced Maria Filipova, chair of the CPC.

Ivan Dimitrov, chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission, emphasised that the chosen approach is important for prices and service quality for every end consumer.
