Chief Mufti's Office in Bulgaria concerned about Lukov March

The Muslim denomination in Bulgaria has expressed its concern over the Lukov March that took place in Sofia on February 17.

According to the Grand Mufti's Office the march has become a procession of hatred against various religious and ethnic groups in the country.

The Muslim community in Bulgaria has always supported peace and understanding between different ethnic and religious groups and has stood firmly against all kinds of hatred, intolerance and hate speech, the statement reads.

The Grand Mufti's Office has called on Bulgarian society, institutions, political parties and others to respect the high standards of human rights, moral values ​​and democratic principles, which modern community and the European Union required.
