Vezhdi Rashidov says protests are an attempt by anarchy to carry out a coup d'état

“I am not seeing any message from these protests. I see people who want to bring down the government. All they want is resignations,” sculptor Vezhdi Rashidov, who is a GERB party MP and chair of the parliamentary culture and media committee, said for the BNR.

“GERB should finish off its term of office. The protesters are not the entire nation. Illegal protests are unconstitutional, which is an illustration that anarchy is trying to carry out a coup d'état. Democracy says that at elections the people who do not like Boyko Borissov can cast a different ballot and elect someone else.”

Vezhdi Rashidov added that he is not defending Borissov but if he is guilty of anything, it has to be proved, instead of “having words thrown in the streets.”
