Borislav Kolev, who has been charged with money laundering from the construction of Hemus motorway, has requested a meeting with the minister of the interior and the prosecutor general to disclose important information pertaining to the investigation.

His request was conveyed by his brother, Ivo Kolev, who talked to reporters minutes before the Sofia Appellate Court substituted Borislav Kolev’s house arrest for permanent custody.
“I do not think that anyone here thinks that my brother is the final recipient of 53 million Leva. Talking about this kind of sum, of money on such a scale, you can imagine who the people involved are, what kind of interests and influence are at play,” Ivo Kolev said.
The controversy over whether Borislav Kolev wants to disclose information about the misappropriation of tens of millions from the construction of Hemus motorway triggered a bitter clash between the prosecutor’s office and the Ministry of Interior.
