"I am looking forward to finding out what I am accused of. Foreign governments have contacted me - the Netherlands, Estonia, Sweden, Lithuania, but the Bulgarian government has not yet". This was stated in an interview for bTV by the Bulgarian investigative journalist Christo Grozev working for the Belingcat investigative journalism group

Grozev has been put on Russia's wanted list.

Grozev lives in Austria, which has offered him round-the-clock protection, and he will take advantage of that. According to the journalist, there is a risk to his life.

"Russia acts slowly. They have a long memory and do not forgive. Therefore, we do not need to look for what I am working on now. The last 5-6 years of investigations on the website have done irreparable damage to the fiction that Russians have the most fearsome and perfect secret services," Grozev said in response to a question about why he was declared wanted by Russia.

On this occasion, Russian Ambassador in Sofia Eleonora Mitrofanova has been summoned to a meeting at Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the first working day after the holidays.
