Bulgarian Armenians in Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Varna and Ruse protested in support of the Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, thus joining an international initiative of Armenian communities around the world

The rally in Sofia was held in front of the European Commission Representation, in Ruse in front of the City Hall, and in the other cities in front of the local Armenian churches.

The initiative "Europeans for  Artsakh", as Armenians call Nagorno-Karabakh, besides solidarity and support for those fleeing the war, aims to draw attention ahead of The Third European Political Community Summit, which will be held on 5 October in the Spanish city of Grenada. Armenians are unhappy that, once again in history, their compatriots are being victimised for geopolitical interests and have accused the EU of remaining silent on the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Nagorno-Karabakh exodus amounts to a war crime, legal experts quoted by Reuters say.
