Bulgaria presents brandy cocktail at ProWein exhibition in Dusseldorf

With a cocktail of Bulgarian brandy (rakiya), Bulgaria was represented at the ProWein Exhibition in Düsseldorf - one of the world's largest wine fairs as a host of the most prestigious independent wine competition in the world - Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, which will be held from April 28 to May 1, 2016 in Plovdiv. In ProWein involved are 57 countries and 6,000 exhibitors. Annually, the country that is to host the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is presented at ProWein with a special cocktail of a traditional drink.

The Bulgarian "business card" on the basis of brandy is under the name "Bulgarian Spring" and is the work of renowned specialist Filippo Baldan. The unconventional cocktail "Bulgarian Spring" is made with 50ml of brandy, 20ml of lemon juice, cucumber, 2-3sprigs of thyme, 3-4 grains of white grapes without seeds, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 beaten egg-white (optional).
